Bob Hardy, known as The Walker Runner, faced an unexpected setback on November 17th when a timing mix-up prevented him from officially participating in the Frozen Sole 8-km race walk. But that didn’t stop him! Bob took on an 8-km time trial instead, tackling a challenging 4-km out-and-back route with 22 meters of elevation—and achieved a personal best with a time of 1:06 at a speed of 7.2 kph.

New Milestone for The Walker Runner!
This is Bob’s longest distance and best time since his April 25th crash, marking an incredible step forward in his recovery. Since May, he’s increased his distance from 3.5 km to 8 km and improved his speed from 4.9 kph to 7.2 kph.
With another 8-km time trial coming up on November 24th, Bob’s goal is to break the one-hour mark before moving on to 10-km, gearing up for the 10-km races already on the calendar for 2025.
Stay tuned as Bob continues to push limits and demonstrate what’s possible through resilience and determination.
