Inaugural Presentation of the "Walker Runner" Pendant

Bob Hardy, at 74, is proving that age is just a number! During the recent event, he covered 5.1 km in 42 minutes and 38 seconds, averaging a speed of 7.1 kph with a heart rate peaking at 161 bpm.
Recovering from his April 25th crash, Bob is still working through shin splint issues, discovering that one leg is longer than the other—his left leg is the shorter one. An X-ray will soon confirm the difference, and a spacer will be added to his shoe.
This event was not just about racing; it's was celebration of commitment and achievement! What better venue than the Heroes Circle Canada at Island Park, Alexandria on September 29th
Bob was honored to present the pendant to fellow hero Nadia Périard, who showcased her own determination by running 20.48 km with her dogs, starting at 5 AM to get it done. Bob may have walked a fraction of that, but he did so at a commendable 7 kph!
A special thanks to Pommier Jewellery, Jeff Poissant, and AdLiBb for making this event possible. Together, Nadia and Bob defy all logic, finding strength to achieve what many might deem impossible.
