Update and Training Progress

Dear Friends,
I wanted to share some exciting news with you all. Bob Hardy is now cancer-free—a huge relief for all of us. His doctors have scheduled his next colonoscopy for three years from now.
With this positive development, he has cautiously resumed his training and racing activities. Starting with basic training, Bob began with short walks as he eased back into physical activity.
Now, on to the road to recovery!
With a strategic blend of rest, gentle exercise, a little help from my medical team, and maybe some secret ancient oriental remedies, I'm geared up for a comeback. Starting small with today's "light stroll" around the block (0.45 km in a breezy 6.08 minutes - no need to break any land speed records just yet! 🐢).
Looking ahead, the rest of 2024 is shaping up to be a whirlwind! From the Canadian Transplant Games in August to a special cameo at the Ottawa Army Run in September, and even a choice betweenthe Toronto Waterfront Marathon or Lachine half marathon in October, it's all systems go!
And let's not forget the highlight of my speaking calendar for this year - a prestigious gig at the Rotary Club in Cornwall come November (You can contact me for speaking engagements
And finally, who could resist a festive finish to the year with the Santa Shuffle in December? 🎅
Stay tuned, folks - this walker's got a lot more left in the tank!
