Celebrating Progress on the Road to Recovery!

After enduring a challenging crash during the St. Lawrence Marathon in May, which resulted in head, shoulder, and leg injuries, Bob Hardy, The Walker Runner, is steadily recovering and improving. His journey hasn’t been easy, but determination and the right equipment have made all the difference.

In May, Bob’s average speed was a modest 4.9 kph. Fast forward to September, and he was racing at an impressive 7.6 kph! This progress is a testament to his hard work and resilience.
Bob's goal after the crash was clear: recover and find a racing machine that eliminates the speed wobble that has caused many of his previous crashes. With the help of Trionic Sweden, he helped design and have buid his dream machine—complete with inflatable tires, aero bars, and a low center of gravity. The results speak for themselves!
At the Terry Fox Wobbly Walker Walkathon in September, Bob achieved a thrilling sprint speed of 26.6 kph, proving that he can safely exceed 25 kph without any wobble.
As he continues to rebuild his strength and speed, Bob looks forward to the upcoming Fall Road Race at Guidon Park in Cornwall on October 26th. Stay tuned for more updates on his journey as he embraces each challenge with unwavering spirit!
